Soccer Game Preview: Dock Mennonite vs. Delaware County Christian

The Dock Mennonite Pioneers will head out on the road to square off against the Delaware County Christian Knights at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday.

Dock Mennonite fought the good fight in their overtime contest against Calvary Christian Academy on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 4-3. While losing is never fun, Dock Mennonite can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 199th, while Calvary Christian Academy are ranked 30th).

Meanwhile, Delaware County Christian waltzed into their match on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory.

Dock Mennonite has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-4 record this season. As for Delaware County Christian, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.

Dock Mennonite came up short against Delaware County Christian in their previous meeting back in September, falling 2-0. Can the Pioneers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
