Volleyball Recap: Sweeny Bulldogs vs. Sinton Pirates

Sweeny had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Sinton Pirates on Thursday, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since August 21st.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Sweeny got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 20-25, 25-23, 24-26, 15-10.

Belle Seibert paced Sweeny's offense, picking up 24 kills. Seibert got some help from Stevie Brown and her 50 assists. Hannah Forshee controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Sweeny has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-9 record this season. As for Sinton, they now have a losing record of 16-17.

As of now, neither Sweeny nor the Pirates have any future games scheduled.
