Softball Preview: Chaparral Firebirds vs. Centennial Coyotes
The Chaparral Firebirds will head out on the road to challenge the Centennial Coyotes at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Wednesday, everything went Chaparral's way against Notre Dame Prep as Chaparral made off with an 11-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Chaparral.
Lexie Wilson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and only one walk). Wilson has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive pitching appearances.
