Softball Recap: Craigmont Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lakeland Preparatory, Craigmont was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 7-6 back in March.

The victory got Craigmont back to even at 3-3. As for Raleigh-Egypt, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-4.

Looking ahead, Craigmont will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Ridgeway at 5:00 p.m. The Roadrunners have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something the Chiefs will no doubt try to take advantage of. Raleigh-Egypt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
