Basketball Recap: St. Pius X Comes Up Short

It was a proper cat-fight when St. Pius X faced off against Northland Christian on Tuesday. The St. Pius X Panthers took a 56-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Northland Christian Cougars. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 603rd, while the Cougars are ranked 112th).

St. Pius X's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Northland Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2.

St. Pius X will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Episcopal at 7:00 p.m. on December 20th. After both having extra time off, Northland Christian and Second Baptist will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 11:00 a.m. on December 27th.
