Baseball Recap: St. Michael's Takes a Loss

St. Michael fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Robertson on Saturday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 10-9. The Horsemen were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cardinals earlier this season, when they won 11-8.

Michael Giesler was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4. He is also on a roll when it comes to RBI, as he's now brought in three or more in each of the last four games he's played.

St. Michael's moved to 12-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Robertson, their win bumped their record up to 9-5-1.

St. Michael's didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-5 victory against Santa Fe Indian on the 15th. As for Robertson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-3 win against West Las Vegas on the 15th.
