It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but McMinn Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They walked away with a 9-6 victory over the Tellico Plains Bears. The win was familiar territory for the Chargers, who have now won four games in a row.

Lauren Peterson spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on seven hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
