Basketball Game Preview: Jonesport-Beals Royals vs. Narraguagus Knights

Jonesport-Beals and Narraguagus are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Jonesport-Beals Royals will take on the Narraguagus Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Jonesport-Beals has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.

Jonesport-Beals took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They skirted past Woodland 54-52.

Meanwhile, Narraguagus was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 72-43 loss at the hands of Washington Academy.

Jonesport-Beals has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.6 points per game. As for Narraguagus, their loss dropped their record down to 3-14.

Jonesport-Beals strolled past Narraguagus when the teams last played back in January by a score of 62-46. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jonesport-Beals since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
