Basketball Recap: Tidewater Academy Takes a Loss

Tidewater Academy lost against Brunswick Academy back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Tidewater Academy Warriors had to suffer through a 62-24 loss at the hands of the Brunswick Academy Vikings. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-9.

Despite the loss, Tidewater Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Henry Berryman posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Hawkins, who earned six points.

This is the second loss in a row for Tidewater Academy and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Brunswick Academy, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Tidewater Academy will square off against Greenbrier Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brunswick Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Nansemond-Suffolk Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Brunswick Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six games -- so hopefully Nansemond-Suffolk Academy likes a good challenge.
