Lighthouse Christian scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Idaho City Wildcats by a score of 25-24. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Wednesday (20), the Lions still had to take the loss.

Brennan Ford was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Ford was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his six plate appearances.

In other batting news, Lighthouse Christian got a massive performance out of Berkley Hills, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Xander Ramirez, who scored four runs and stole a base while getting on base in five of his six plate appearances.

The defeat snapped Lighthouse Christian's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 5-2 record. As for Idaho City, they picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-11.

Lighthouse Christian has already played their next matchup, a 15-1 loss against Malad on the 12th. As for Idaho City, they will be playing at home against Garden Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolverines have averaged an impressive 9 runs per game this season.
