Volleyball Recap: San Lorenzo Comes Up Short

San Lorenzo lost against Hayward back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Grizzlies came up short against the Farmers, falling 3-0. The Grizzlies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

San Lorenzo was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 26-24, 25-22.

San Lorenzo's loss dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Hayward, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.

San Lorenzo and Hayward could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. The Grizzlies (ranked 865th) will meet Arroyo (ranked 340th) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Hayward will challenge San Leandro at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank disadvantage (605 vs. 242).
