Basketball Recap: Dexter Comes Up Short

Dexter was the 52-47 winner over Foxcroft Academy when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Dexter Tigers were outmatched by the Foxcroft Academy Ponies and fell 60-31.

Dexter lost on Friday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cole Doherty, who posted eight points. Those eight points gave Doherty a new career-high. Ethan Doherty was another key player, putting up four points and five rebounds.

Dexter's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Foxcroft Academy, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-6.

Dexter wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 49-42 victory against George Stevens Academy on the 13th. As for Foxcroft Academy, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-41 win against Washington Academy on the 13th.
