Carlson had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 40-point drubbing they dealt Taylor on Friday. The Marauders claimed a resounding 48-8 victory over the Griffins. The win continues a trend for the Marauders in their matchups with the Griffins: they've now won nine in a row.

Izaiah Wright had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 129 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only eight carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 59 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Trent Ison was another key player, throwing for 101 yards and two TDs while completing 77.8% of his passes.

Carlson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jacob Collins, Teegan Nagy, and Grayson Malec picked up one apiece. Nagy got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Carlson's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Taylor, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.
