Corey McDonald gave up the fewest walks he has since back in February of 2024 on Friday. As a matter of fact, he produced his best game of the campaign: he struck out seven batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

Coming up, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers take on the Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Hattiesburg is a perfect 3-0 against Lumberton going back to March of 2019, a lead they'll look to extend.
