Softball Recap: Central Bucks West Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Central Bucks West, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Hopewell Valley Central Bulldogs on Monday as they made off with a 13-1 win. Considering the Bucks have won six contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Ana Glemser, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two triples, four RBI, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jill Boyle, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Central Bucks West pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Hopewell Valley Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Central Bucks West will be playing at home against Central Bucks South at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hopewell Valley Central, they will venture away from home to face off against South Hunterdon at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
