Volleyball Recap: Makaila Hines Key Part of Team Effort in Bobcats Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Philip Catholic Central, Burr Oak was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bellevue Broncos. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Broncos: they've now won four in a row.

Burr Oak walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-15, 14-25, 25-21, 25-18.

Burr Oak's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Makaila Hines, who had 16 kills and 15 digs. Those 15 digs gave Hines a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Roggow, who had 14 digs, nine kills, and four aces.

Burr Oak's victory bumped their record up to 4-5-1. As for Bellevue, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-12.

Looking ahead, Burr Oak will square off against Pansophia Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bellevue, they will take on Tekonsha at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
