Baseball Recap: Nauset Regional Takes a Loss

Nauset Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 9-2 to the Sandwich Blue Knights, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-2 on Saturday.

Nauset Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 1-12. As for Sandwich, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Nauset Regional will welcome Duxbury at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Dragons' pitching crew has only allowed 3.1 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Sandwich, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Abington at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Knights are facing the Green Wave at the right time seeing as the Green Wave are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
