Baseball Game Preview: Tecumseh Arrows vs. Indian Lake Lakers

The Tecumseh Arrows will square off against the Indian Lake Lakers at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.

On Thursday, Tecumseh came up short against Urbana and fell 7-4. The Arrows haven't had much luck with the Hillclimbers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Wednesday Indian Lake sidestepped Benjamin Logan for a 2-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Lakers in their matchups with the Raiders: they've now won five in a row.

Jackson Snipes spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits and racked up six Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Indian Lake is 4-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Indian Lake saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kolton Cummins, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. That's the most hits Cummins has posted since back in April. Chance Persinger also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Tecumseh's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Indian Lake, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.

Tecumseh came out on top in a nail-biter against Indian Lake when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. Do the Arrows have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lakers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
