Basketball Game Preview: Twin River Titans vs. Aquinas Monarchs

Twin River hasn't had much luck against Aquinas recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Twin River Titans will take on the Aquinas Monarchs. Twin River has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Twin River is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell just short of Madison by a score of 69-66 on Saturday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Titans have suffered since December 7, 2024.

Meanwhile, Aquinas entered their tilt with Pierce on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They enjoyed a cozy 49-31 win over the Bluejays.

Twin River better keep an eye on Bryant Stouffer. He was instrumental in Aquinas' win, shooting 5-for-9 from deep and dropping a double-double on 32 points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Kasen Lavicky, who posted eight points.

Aquinas is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. As for Twin River, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.

Twin River couldn't quite finish off Aquinas when the teams last played back in January of 2024 and fell 39-37. Can Twin River avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
