Football Recap: Governor Livingston Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Governor Livingston fought the good fight in their overtime game against Johnson on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They and the Crusaders were almost perfectly matched up, but they suffered a 21-20 loss. The Highlanders' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Several Highlanders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Elijah Garcia, who rushed for 82 yards and one TD on only eight carries. Governor Livingston also got a significant boost from Dominic Labisi, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 82 yards.

Governor Livingston suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 3-3. As for Johnson, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Governor Livingston will host Voorhees at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. That matchup will pit two of the most dominant backs against one another: Labisi and Matteo Tramutola. As for Johnson, they are taking a road trip to face off against Delaware Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
