Softball Recap: Lynnwood Takes a Loss

Lynnwood managed to slip by Shorecrest the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Royals came up short against the Scots on Wednesday, falling 27-4. The Royals' loss continues a trend for the team, making it eight in a row.

Lynnwood's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Shorecrest, the win snapped their losing streak at eight games and leaves them with a 4-8 record.

Lynnwood and Shorecrest could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings. The Royals will face off against Meadowdale at 4:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (252 vs. 115). Meanwhile, Shorecrest (ranked 209th) will meet Edmonds-Woodway (ranked 73rd) at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
