Basketball Recap: Seneca Valley Piles Up the Points Against Gaithersburg

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seneca Valley). They claimed a resounding 79-37 win over the Gaithersburg Trojans. The Screamin' Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 25 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Jayden Addison, who went 16 for 23 en route to 36 points along with six assists and five boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 16.5 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Brielle Watson, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 15 rebounds.

Seneca Valley has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.6 points per game. As for Gaithersburg, they dropped their record down to 6-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season.
