Kempsville has gone 7-1 against Green Run recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Chiefs are taking a road trip to face off against the Stallions at 5:15 p.m. Kempsville will be strutting in after a win while Green Run will be coming in after a defeat.

Kempsville will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Northampton on Thursday. The Chiefs blew past the Yellowjackets 6-1. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 4-1.

Meanwhile, Green Run was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Cox, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, Green Run can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 226th, while Cox are ranked 87th).

Green Run's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Kempsville, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2-2.

Kempsville took their win against Green Run in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 5-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Chiefs since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
