Baseball Game Preview: Box Elder Bees vs. Roy Royals

The Box Elder Bees will head out on the road to face off against the Roy Royals at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Box Elder has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Things were looking good for Box Elder after they put the first run on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They came up short against Clearfield, falling 21-6. The Bees have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Bryson Wight made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. He has become a key player for Box Elder: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-12 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Kohler, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Roy came out on top against Northridge on Friday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Royals put the hurt on the Knights with a sharp 8-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Royals in their matchups with the Knights: they've now won four in a row.

Box Elder's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Roy, their victory bumped their record up to 9-13.
