Luke Packard commands the offense for a Bulldogs win

Recap: Quinter Bulldogs vs. Greeley County Jackrabbits

Even though the Quinter Bulldogs have not done well against the Greeley County Jackrabbits recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Everything went Quinter's way against Greeley County as Quinter made off with a 52-31 win. Given Quinter's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Greeley County is ranked 292nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Quinter's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Luke Packard, who scored seven points along with four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. Trace Kinderknecht was another key contributor, scoring six points along with three steals.

Quinter's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Greeley County, they have fallen quite a ways from their 24-1 record last season and are now at 1-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Quinter has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Hill City at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Hill City has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 252 points over their last four matchups. Greeley County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Northern Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
