Central Magnet will take on the Franklin County Rebels at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Central Magnet is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Central Magnet took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against LaVergne as Central Magnet made off with a 17-2 win. The victory continues a trend for Central Magnet in their matchups with LaVergne: they've now won eight in a row.

Rachel Plondke looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-low in walks (zero).

On the hitting side, Paige Simmons was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Juliet Dasch, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Central Magnet always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .724. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Franklin County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Cascade, falling 15-5.

Central Magnet now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Franklin County, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Central Magnet might still be hurting after the 26-9 defeat they got from Franklin County in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can Central Magnet avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
