Forge Christian entered their tilt with Arvada on Thursday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bulldogs, sneaking past 4-2. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 11-6 on Thursday.

Julianna Alfaro spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Vivian Stults, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Forge Christian's win bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Arvada, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-5.

Coming up, Forge Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against Jefferson Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Arvada, they will head out to take on Kennedy at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Commanders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.37 runs per game on average), something the Bulldogs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
