There's no place like home for Elbert, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Rocky Mountain Lutheran Eagles with a sharp 43-17 victory on Thursday. The match was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bulldogs had established a 21 point advantage.

Piper Warren went supernova for Elbert, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 17 boards. Another player making a difference was Pasicznyk Davy, who posted six points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Elbert was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rocky Mountain Lutheran only one assist.

Rocky Mountain Lutheran's loss came despite strong showings from Sofia Meza-Villa and Alyiah Trujillo. Meza-Villa put up four points and three steals, while Trujillo had two points. Meza-Villa has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played.

Elbert pushed their record up to 7-12 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Rocky Mountain Lutheran, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season.
