Basketball Game Preview: Phoenix Academy Firebirds vs. Jordan-Matthews Jets

The Phoenix Academy Firebirds will head out to take on the Jordan-Matthews Jets at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Phoenix Academy is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Phoenix Academy was beaten by Burlington Christian Academy 93-46. While losing is never fun, the Firebirds can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 566th, while the Royals are ranked 75th).

Meanwhile, Jordan-Matthews hadn't done well against Cummings recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Jordan-Matthews walked away with a 55-47 win over Cummings.

Jordan-Matthews' victory bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Phoenix Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12.
