Baseball Game Preview: Mayde Creek Rams vs. Spring Woods Tigers

The Mayde Creek Rams will take on the Spring Woods Tigers at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Mayde Creek will be strutting in after a win while Spring Woods will be coming in after a loss.

Mayde Creek saw some tournament action on Thursday. They came out on top against Cleveland by a score of 6-2.

Cleveland hit Spring Woods with a five-run fourth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers came up short against the Indians, falling 15-5. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Spring Woods got a big performance out of Erick Gomez, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

The victory got Mayde Creek back to even at 1-1. As for Spring Woods, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Everything went Mayde Creek's way against Spring Woods in their previous meeting back in March of 2022, as Mayde Creek made off with a 9-0 win. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
