Baseball Recap: Tates Creek Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Tates Creek was a bit more limited in their contest on Tuesday. They lost 12-2 to the Trinity Shamrocks. The loss continues a trend for the Commodores in their meetings with the Shamrocks: they've now lost five in a row.

Tates Creek saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aaron Hobson, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Tates Creek's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Trinity, their win was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tates Creek will venture away from home to face off against Frederick Douglass at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Trinity, they are taking a road trip to take on Lafayette at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Trinity's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last three matches.
