Northwest Whitfield posted their closest win since September 21, 2024 on Thursday. They won by a set and slipped past the Heritage Generals 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Bruins sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Jenna Quinn paced Northwest Whitfield's offense, picking up eight kills. Quinn got some help from Megan Torbett and her eight assists. Paola Cuna controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Northwest Whitfield's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Heritage, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-3 record this season.

Northwest Whitfield didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Calhoun on the 21st. As for Heritage, they will take on North Gwinnett at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
