Football Recap: Central Valley Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Central Valley kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 46-8 defeat at the hands of the Hamilton Braves. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it nine in a row.

Even if they lost, Central Valley's defensive line still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Trevor White, Ismael Mendoza, and Alex Johnston, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Kayden Strong had a dynamite game For Hamilton., rushing for 162 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries, while also throwing for 127 yards and three TDs. That's the most rushing yards Strong has posted since back in September of 2024. Case Porter was in the mix too, providing Hamilton with two scores.

Looking ahead, Central Valley is taking a road trip to take on Oroville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hamilton, they will welcome Willows at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
