Softball Game Preview: Nitro Wildcats vs. Ripley Vikings

The Nitro Wildcats will face off against the Ripley Vikings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Sherman hit Nitro with a five-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Wildcats came up short against the Tide, falling 12-3.

Nitro saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lyndi Campbell, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, Ripley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 9-1 to Hoover.

Ripley's loss dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Nitro, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-15.
