After a string of six wins, Wakefield's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 56-55 to the Johnston Speedboys. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Speedboys earlier this season, when they won 49-33.

Wakefield's defeat dropped their record down to 12-8. As for Johnston, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-10 record this season.
