Baseball Recap: Daniel Victorious

Daniel hadn't done well against T.L. Hanna recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Lions walked away with a 4-1 win over the Yellow Jackets. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Yellow Jackets last Friday, they had to take a 8-3 defeat.

Will Davis looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (three).

On the hitting side, Daniel let Ty Simpson and David Desrosiers run wild. Simpson went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run, while Desrosiers went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Desrosiers has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Tobie Lowe, who went 2-for-4 with one double and one RBI.

Daniel now has a winning record of 2-1. As for T.L. Hanna, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 2-1.

Coincidentally, Daniel and T.L. Hanna will both be playing Woodmont the next time they take the field. The Yellow Jackets will head out to face the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
