Brody Metting Delivers Electric Effort Vs Pettus

Starting off the list is Yorktown's Brody Metting, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Metting rushed for 179 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry, and also threw for 65 yards and a touchdown.

The win (which was Yorktown's fifth in a row) raised their record to 5-1. Metting's next contest is against Charlotte on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid performance.

Tyler Pawelek Turns in Season-Best Effort

On Friday, Falls City got the W thanks in part to Tyler Pawelek playing the best football he has all season. Pawelek rushed for 109 yards and four touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.

The victory was the fourth in a row for Falls City, bringing their record for this year to 4-2. Pawelek and Falls City will venture away from home to square off against Shiner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Mckenzie Yanta Crosses Big Stat Threshold

Another Yorktown player making an appearance on this list is Mckenzie Yanta. He rushed for 124 yards and three touchdowns. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (100.7) per game. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 120 rushing yards.

This season, Yanta has run in 10 touchdowns while averaging 100.7 rushing yards per game.

Johnson Came Up Big in Falls City's 48-7 Win

Another Falls City player making an appearance on this list is Braylon Johnson. He rushed for 103 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries, and also threw for 53 yards and a touchdown. His rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 103 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Unfortunately for Louise, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Johnson. Johnson rushed for 114 yards and three touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 112 yards on only eight passes the last time he and the Hornets duked it out back in October of 2023.
