Baseball Recap: Millwood Wins Going Away Against Star-Spencer

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Millwood and Star-Spencer, and Millwood kept the tradition alive. The Falcons put the hurt on the Bobcats with a sharp 13-1 victory on Tuesday. The Falcons not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 13th (when they won 13-0).

Millwood has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-14 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.3 runs over those games. As for Star-Spencer, they are on a 30-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-18.

Millwood and Star-Spencer could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings. The Falcons (ranked 351st) will meet Union City (ranked 100th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Star-Spencer will face off against Lindsay at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (406 vs. 189).
