Softball Recap: Trinity Episcopal Titans vs. Saint Gertrude Gators
Trinity Episcopal proved they can win big last Saturday (they won by seven) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Saint Gertrude Gators 10-9. The Titans have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Gators, too.
Cooper Beatty made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits. Beatty was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
In other batting news, Taylor Hamilton was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Magovern Rollins, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
