Baseball Recap: Edgewood Takes a Loss

Friday just wasn't the day for Edgewood's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Homestead Spartans on Friday. The matchup marked the first time this year in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Edgewood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Inman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Edgewood and nudges their season record down to 2-3. As for Homestead, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Coming up, Edgewood will head out on the road to face off against Brown County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Homestead, they will take on Fort Wayne South Side at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
