Seneca Valley extended their winning streak to ten games thanks to a huge performance from Teagan Phillips. The Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles put the hurt on the Gaithersburg Trojans with a sharp 61-40 win on Monday thanks in part to Phillips, who went 9 of 21 en route to 22 points along with seven boards and six steals. Her evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 20 points.

Seneca Valley's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Gaithersburg, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Looking ahead, Seneca Valley is taking a road trip to face off against Clarksburg at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Seneca Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Clarksburg likes a good challenge. As for Gaithersburg, they will challenge Northwest on Thursday.
