Preview: Kelly Walsh Trojans vs. Evanston Devils

The Kelly Walsh Trojans will look to defend their home court against the Evanston Devils at 7:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Kelly Walsh is ranked 26th, while Evanston is ranked 15th).
Last Friday, it was a hard-fought match, but Kelly Walsh had to settle for a 46-44 defeat against Rock Springs. That's two games in a row now that Kelly Walsh has lost by exactly two points.
Despite the defeat, Kelly Walsh had strong showings from Jack Nicholls, who scored 15 points, and Kadon Boyce, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Mason Eager, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Evanston was able to grind out a solid win over Jackson Hole on Saturday, taking the game 64-51.
Kelly Walsh has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Evanston, their win bumped their record up to 9-6.
Kelly Walsh came out on top in a nail-biter against Evanston in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, sneaking past 48-46. Will Kelly Walsh repeat their success, or does Evanston have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
