Soccer Game Preview: Lincoln Northeast vs. Lincoln East

Lincoln Northeast is 0-7 against Lincoln East since April of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Rockets will be playing at home against the Spartans at 6:00 p.m.

Lincoln Northeast is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. They took a 5-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Norfolk on Tuesday. Logan Gillett probably wasn't too happy after the matchup: he scored every single goal for Lincoln Northeast and still walked away on the losing team.

Meanwhile, Lincoln East entered their tilt with Columbus on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Discoverers get on the board and left with a 4-0 win. Lincoln East's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Lincoln Northeast now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Lincoln East, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Lincoln Northeast suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Lincoln East in their previous matchup back in March of 2022. Can the Rockets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
