The Grantsville Cowboys will square off against the Morgan Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.
Grantsville's offense will try to repeat the strong performance it gave on Friday, when they got past Ogden's usually-dominant defense. The Cowboys claimed a resounding 42-7 victory over the Tigers. The win continues a trend for the Cowboys in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won six in a row.

Rigdon Murdock and Dallan Van Vliet were among the main playmakers for Grantsville as the former rushed for 131 yards and a pair of touchdowns and the latter rushed for 44 yards and one score. That's the most rushing yards Van Vliet has posted since back in November of 2024.
Grantsville's run defense was locked in: Ogden could only muster 2.3 yards per carry. The team can thank Porter Davis for the heroic effort on defense: he. Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Morgan). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Ben Lomond 56-0. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Utah football rankings (they are ranked 16th, while the Scots are ranked 105th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.
Grantsville better keep an eye on Cade Randall. He was instrumental in Morgan's win, throwing for 159 yards and three TDs on perfect 5-for-5 passing. Jaxon Pierce was another key player, rushing for 66 yards and one touchdown.
Grantsville now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Morgan, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
Grantsville took a serious blow against Morgan in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 42-3. Thankfully for the Cowboys, Lincoln Gilson (who rushed for 119 yards and three scores, and also picked up 95 receiving yards) won't be suiting up this time.
