Volleyball Recap: Holy Cross Wins Going Away Against Central

Holy Cross's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Central Yellow Jackets with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2021.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Holy Cross took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-14, 25-8, 25-13.

Brianne Stoff paced Holy Cross' offense, picking up 17 kills. Stoff got some help from Leah Evans and her 30 assists. Stoff was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Holy Cross' victory bumped their record up to 21-8. As for Central, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-13-1.

Looking ahead, Holy Cross will take on Ballard at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Bruins will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Central, they will host Francis Parker at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
