Soccer Recap: Laurens Takes a Loss

Laurens lost against Wren back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Raiders lost 11-0 to the Hurricanes. While losing is never fun, Laurens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 176th, while Wren are ranked 31st).

Laurens has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Wren, the victory was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2.

Coming up, Laurens will square off against Ninety Six at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wren, they will be playing at home against Southside at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in Wren's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Southside have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
