Basketball Recap: Azle Takes a Loss

Azle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a blow against the Fossil Ridge Panthers, falling 75-37. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 919th, while the Panthers are ranked 78th).

Azle's defeat dropped their record down to 6-21. As for Fossil Ridge, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-7.

Azle will head out to challenge Saginaw at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Azle is facing Saginaw at the right time seeing as Saginaw is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Fossil Ridge, they will host Brewer at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Brewer will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Fossil Ridge surely won't give up without a fight.
