Basketball Recap: Herron Comes Up Short

Herron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Purdue Polytechnic Techies, falling 75-25. If the Achaeans were looking for revenge after losing 56-9 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Purdue Polytechnic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Damion Green, who posted 19 points. Those 19 points gave Green a new career-high. Tj Williams was another key player, putting up 16 points.

Herron's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Purdue Polytechnic, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Herron will be playing in front of their home fans against Horizon Christian at 7:30 p.m. on December 20th. As for Purdue Polytechnic, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 57-50 defeat against Evansville Christian on the 14th.
