Basketball Game Preview: Victoria East Titans vs. Sinton Pirates

The Victoria East Titans will head out on the road to square off against the Sinton Pirates at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Victoria East will be strutting in after a victory while Sinton will be coming in after a defeat.

Victoria East picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They put the hurt on El Campo with a sharp 60-37 win. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 638th, while the Ricebirds are ranked 1301st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Sinton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 66-44 to Boerne-Champion.

Victoria East has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 14-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Sinton, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.
