After a string of three wins, Shepherd's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the Gaylord Blue Devils by a score of 11-9. The Bluejays were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Blue Devils earlier this season, when they won 6-4.

Shepherd's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8-1. As for Gaylord, their victory bumped their record up to 9-7.
